In 1985, Perkins celebrated engines production of 10,000,000 units. And in 1998, Caterpillar Inc purchased Perkins Engine Company Limited with $1.3 billion, creating the world’s largest diesel engine manufacturer.

So far, it has provided the global with 15 million gensets ranging from 4 KW to 1940 KW; it currently has three production bases, with an annual production of 400,000 sets; the company has established two parts release center in Manchester, England and Singapore and set up more than 3500 service outlets worldwide, which provide worldwide customers with uninterrupted service throughout the year.

Prime power
1) Total use is lower than 6000 hours in the first year, warranty period extends to the second year or 6000 hours which is the first occur.
2) Total use is over 6000 hours in the first year, warranty period is one year.
Standby power
1)Total use of engines is restricted to 500 hours or less per annul, the engine warranty will be extended into a second year and shall last the end of the second year or until total use reaches 1000 hours, whichever is the first to occur. Note: In cases where the total use of *4000 Series engines is restricted to 500 hours or less per annul, the engine warranty will be extended into a third year and shall last until the  end of the  third year or until total use reaches 1500 hours, whichever is the first to occur.
2) Total use of engine is over 500 hours in the first year, engine warranty time is two years or 6000 hours which is the first to occur.
3)Total use of engine is over 1000 hours in the second year, warranty period is 2years.

About Perkins generator maintenance, please refer to the following tips:
1. Changing the oil, cleaning diesel filter and oil filter after diesel generator runs up to 60 hours.
2. Regularly checking the battery electrolyte and adding electrolyte in a timely manner when necessary.
3. Regularly checking belt release situation, adjusting the tension mechanism, and keeping the state of tension.
4. During the cold season, opening the oil heating and water heating switch to keep a certain temperature of generator set, so as to ensure that diesel genset can be normally used.
