Features and Applications of Small Gasoline Generators

A gasoline generator is a power - generating device that uses gasoline as fuel to convert other forms of energy into mechanical energy. A generator usually consists of components such as a stator, a rotor, an end cover, and bearings. The stator is composed of a stator core, a wire - wound group, a machine base, and other structural parts that fix these components. According to GB/T725 - 2008 "Rules for Compiling Names and Models of Internal Combustion Engine Products", the model of small gasoline engines in China consists of 9 parts, which respectively represent the series, type, basic structure, characteristics, application, and distinguishing symbols of the gasoline engine, as shown in Figure 1 - 29.

1.Product series or replacement mark: Represented by letters.

2.Cylinder number, cylinder arrangement form, stroke, and cylinder diameter: Represented by letters (numbers).

3.Structural characteristics and application characteristics: Represented by letters.

4.Distinguishing symbol: A distinguishing symbol for improved products by the manufacturer.

 

Examples:

1E76F: A single - cylinder, two - stroke, air - cooled generator set with a cylinder diameter of 76mm.

185F gasoline engine: A single - cylinder, four - stroke, air - cooled generator set with a cylinder diameter of 85mm.

 

Four major advantages of small gasoline generators:

1.Simple structure and high reliability: Small gasoline generators are small in size and have a high specific power, making them convenient to use. The overall structure is relatively simple, with a low failure rate. Therefore, they have good performance and high reliability.

2.High - efficiency and energy - saving.

3.High voltage - stabilizing accuracy: They can well protect the battery.

4.Low price and high cost - performance: The overall cost - performance of the generator is high.

 

If it is for household use and only needs to power appliances with relatively small loads such as air conditioners, refrigerators, computers, TVs, or lighting sources, a gasoline generator is very suitable. However, if the load requires a power supply of more than 10KW, a diesel generator set is more appropriate. The output power of a diesel generator is much larger than that of a gasoline generator set. Generally, the maximum power of a gasoline generator set is only 10KW, while the minimum power of a diesel generator set is 8KW, and the maximum power can reach 3000KW. Diesel generator sets are suitable for high - power equipment and are widely used in industries, factories, hospitals, hotels, government real - estate projects, etc.
