How to Use a Trailer-Mounted Mobile Double-Suction Split-Case Pump?

Steps for using the trailer-mounted mobile double-suction split-case pump  

Step 1: Preparation before starting the pump unit

Before using the double-suction split-case pump, connect the inlet and outlet pipes. Prior to starting, check whether the engine oil is sufficient, ensuring the oil level is between the Full and Add marks. Verify the coolant level, which should be about 5 centimeters below the cap. Then, check the fuel level and ensure the battery is adequately charged. Inspect whether all fastening screws are tight and confirm the seals at the inlet pipe, pump packing, and vacuum pump connections are intact. Check for air in the diesel engine; if present, use the fuel pump valve to expel it.

Step 2: Starting the pump

First, turn on the main battery switch, then press the power switch button on the control panel. Once the display lights up, press the vacuum switch button, and the vacuum indicator will illuminate. Wait for a moment until the vacuum extraction stops and the vacuum indicator on the panel turns off. Then, press the manual button on the control panel, followed by the start button on the controller. Open the water valve and wait for water to discharge. The double-suction split-case pump will begin normal operation.

Step 3: Shutting down the pump

After completing the operation and wanting to stop the pump, press the stop button on the controller once. The double-suction split-case pump will gradually come to a stop. Once it has completely stopped, turn off the power switch on the control panel. After the control screen goes dark, switch off the main battery switch. First, drain the air and water from the pump body, then detach the inlet pipe and close the valve.

Note: For normal shutdown, press the stop button only once. Avoid pressing it repeatedly, as this will force an abrupt shutdown, which may adversely affect the diesel engine. In winter, drain all water from the pump body to prevent freezing and cracking.

Maintenance of the Trailer-Mounted Mobile Double-Suction Split-Case Pump  

Diesel engine maintenance: Strictly follow the requirements on the engine maintenance schedule to service all components. 

Pump body maintenance: Regularly clean and remove dust from the pump body, tighten the pump impeller screws, clear debris from the pump body, and replace the packing if it is severely worn or aged.

Battery: If the pump is not used for an extended period, charge the battery every 1–2 months.
