And the heat will be removed by the exhaust fan. It’s important to ensure that there is an adequate amount of ventilation airflow be delivered to the generator room. During the operation of the diesel generator, the ventilation volume of the generator room must be at least the sum of the fresh air volume required for the combustion of the diesel engine and the fresh air volume required to maintain the room temperature.

If the generator room is located on the ground, ventilation numbers should be no less than 3 times under normal circumstances, and no less than 6 times in the event of an accident.

If the generator room is located in the semi-underground, the normal ventilation should be no less than 6 times, and in the event of an accident, it should reach 12 times.

If the generator room is located underground, the normal ventilation frequency should not be less than 12 times. In addition, the number of ventilation in the oil storage room shall not be less than 6 times. Calculation of ventilation volume after a disaster: The ventilation rate of the generator room must be at least five times.
