The wear of 600KW diesel generator sets such as Yuchai generator set, Cummins diesel generator set, and Shangchai generator set is generally affected by the quality of fuel and lubricating oil, the operating speed and load of the diesel engine, environmental conditions, and operating conditions.

The quality of fuel and lubricating oil should be compatible with the structure of the diesel generator set. If diesel contains sulfur or other impurities, acids and other corrosive substances will be produced during combustion, accelerating cylinder wear; Excessive heavy fractions in diesel can easily form carbon deposits after combustion, causing abrasive wear on piston rings and cylinders; The viscosity of diesel has an impact on the formation of the mixture and the reliability of the fuel supply equipment. For lubricating oil, viscosity and antioxidant properties have a significant impact, and should be selected and used reasonably based on the working conditions of diesel generators and engines. They should not be used indiscriminately.

The friction of a diesel engine increases with the increase of speed and load. When the load increases, the unit pressure on the friction surface increases, resulting in poor thermal conditions. When the speed increases, the number of frictions per unit time increases, and at the same power, the wear is greater when the speed increases than when the load increases. However, excessively low rotational speeds also increase wear due to the inability to ensure good liquid lubrication conditions. So, for a certain diesel engine, there is an optimal operating speed range. In addition, when the diesel engine frequently accelerates, decelerates, stops, and starts, due to frequent changes in speed and load, the lubrication conditions of the diesel engine are poor, the thermal state is unstable, and wear increases. Especially during start-up, the crankshaft speed is low, the oil pump does not supply oil in a timely manner, the refueling temperature is low, the oil viscosity is high, and it is difficult to establish liquid lubrication on the friction surface, resulting in severe wear.

The working temperature of diesel generator sets is one of the important factors affecting wear and tear. The temperature of the operating environment also has an impact on the wear and tear of diesel generator sets. When the temperature is high, the engine is prone to overheating, the viscosity of lubricating oil is low, and the wear of parts increases. When the temperature is low, the viscosity of lubricating oil increases, making it difficult to start the diesel engine. During operation, the cooling water cannot maintain a normal temperature, which increases the wear and corrosion of parts. The 600KW diesel generator set experiences more severe wear during low-temperature starting. During use, due to the limitations of the cooling system structure, changes in workload and speed, changes in ambient temperature, and other factors, the operating temperature of the diesel engine varies greatly. Practice has shown that controlling the cooling water temperature between 75-85 ℃ and the lubricating oil temperature between 75-95 ℃ is most advantageous.
