The Situation Where Diesel Generator Sets Are Not Covered By Warranty

As a type of power generation equipment, diesel generator sets are guaranteed a certain warranty period by the generator manufacturer at the time of purchase to ensure that users can use them with confidence. In order to ensure the normal use of diesel generator sets, Dingbo Electric reminds you to use them correctly and maintain them in a timely manner to ensure the best performance and reliability of the diesel generator sets. However, it should be noted that not all malfunctions are covered by the warranty. We hope users are aware of the following areas that are not covered by quality warranty services.

1. Failure to maintain the unit as required or improper use resulting in diesel generator failure or component damage will not be covered by warranty.

2. If the diesel generator is damaged due to self modification, modification for other purposes, or self attachment of other devices, or overloading (overloading) work, the entire machine will not be covered by warranty.

3. Those who refuse or prevent repair, inspection, analysis and identification of faults will not be covered by warranty.

4. During the warranty period, if customers or non warranty service providers disassemble (dismantle), adjust the components, assemblies, and parts of the diesel engine that are not allowed to be adjusted (such as the lead seal of the fuel injection pump assembly of the mechanical pump diesel engine), and reinstall them without meeting the technical requirements (such as the fuel injection advance angle of the mechanical pump diesel engine, the torque of important screws, etc.), resulting in the failure and damage of the components, assemblies, and related parts, the parts involved will not be covered by warranty.

5. Damage caused by arbitrary replacement of components in the common rail system or electronic control unit pump system will not be covered by warranty.

6. If the cylinder head or body is deformed or damaged due to a lack of coolant, or if the cylinder liner, piston, piston ring, etc. are damaged due to cylinder pulling, or if the entire machine is damaged, all related components or the entire machine will not be covered by warranty.

7. If there is a lack of lubricating oil (insufficient amount of lubricating oil), the engine oil fails or the engine oil is not used according to the specified brand, resulting in serious wear and tear of the biting shaft (holding shaft), pulling cylinder or various motion friction pairs, and damaging related parts or causing damage to the whole machine, the related parts or the whole machine will not be covered by warranty.

8. If the customer fails to drain the water in a timely manner during winter shutdown, or if the water is not completely drained (excluding those using antifreeze), resulting in the freezing and cracking of components such as the engine body, cylinder head, water pump, oil cooler, and air compressor, the related components will not be covered by warranty.

9. The related parts that cause malfunction or damage due to the loosening of the connecting rod screws caused by the customer's own disassembly and assembly of the connecting rod screws are not covered by warranty.

10. If the customer uses diesel that does not meet the quality requirements, or if the diesel is too dirty, resulting in abnormal wear of plunger parts, outlet valve parts, and injector parts, the three pairs of parts will not be covered by warranty.

11. If the customer uses diesel that does not meet the quality requirements or the diesel is too dirty, resulting in damage to the common rail system or electronic control unit pump system, no warranty will be provided.

12. If abnormal situations occur during the operation of the diesel engine (such as abnormal noise, abnormal water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, etc.), and the engine is not stopped and checked in a timely manner to eliminate the fault and continue to be used, the expanded part of the fault will not be covered by warranty.

13. Damage caused by force majeure is not covered by warranty.

Warranty issues are a key concern that users must pay attention to, especially when purchasing diesel generator sets from small manufacturers. It is important to consult clearly about the warranty period and scope to avoid encountering quality problems in the future and having nowhere to find someone.
