Eight Safety Precautions for Diesel Generator Sets

With the widespread use of diesel generator sets in various fields, their safety and security operations are also very important. Before timely maintenance or troubleshooting of diesel generator sets, maintenance personnel should carefully read and understand all safety precautions and warnings. The eight safety precautions for diesel generator sets are as follows:

1、 The warning icon issued by the diesel generator set indicates potential danger that may cause personal injury or death, but as long as attention is paid and necessary measures are taken, the danger can be avoided. Dingbo Company reminds users that in order to ensure the safety of their surroundings, they should always consider potential dangers.

2、 Wear work clothes when operating, and never wear loose or damaged clothing.

3、 Be sure to wear protective goggles and shoes during operation.

4、 Do not pry the diesel engine to rotate at the fan area, as this abnormal operation can cause serious personal injury or damage to the fan blades.

5、 Before carrying out any maintenance work on diesel generators, the wiring of the battery should be removed first. If the air starter motor starts, the air connection pipe should be removed to prevent accidental starting. At the same time, a stop running sign should be hung in the operating room or control area.

6、 Before disassembling or releasing any pipes, fixed joints or related components, the pressure of the air, lubricating oil or coolant system should be released. Do not check for leaks by hand. High pressure fuel or lubricating oil can harm the human body.

7、 Preservatives contain strong alkalis, strictly preventing them from splashing into the eyes, let alone swallowing. If accidentally in contact with the skin, it should be washed promptly with soap or water.

8、 When the diesel generator set is in working condition or the coolant is in hot working condition, the diesel engine should be cooled first and then the water cover should be slowly opened to relieve the pressure of the cooling system.

Since 1982, Dingbo Generator has been a generator set manufacturer qualified by the "National Internal Combustion Engine Quality Supervision and Inspection Center". The product quality has passed the IS09001 quality system standard certification. And obtained the qualification certificate for self-operated import and export. Over the years, Dingbo units have been widely used in all walks of life, and have won the network access qualification of the Ministry of Information Industry, the network access qualification of the Ministry of Radio and Television, the network access qualification of CNPC, the network access qualification of China Mobile, and the manufacturing qualification of marine units. In 2016, Dingbo was awarded the Certificate of Qualified Supplier of China Nuclear Power Group. Dingbo Generator has been cooperating with Shangchai Power for many years. In 2009, it became the OEM partner of Shangchai Power in China. Dingbo generator VOLVO unit ranks the top three in the Asia-Pacific sales volume, and is the core OEM partner of Sweden Volvo in the Asia-Pacific region. What Is the Difference Between Electric Motor and Electric Generator

An electric motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and winding currents to generate force. In certain applications, such as in regenerative braking with traction motors, electric motors can be used in reverse as generators to recover energy that might otherwise be lost as heat and friction. An electric generator operates in the reverse direction, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Electric generator can be divided into various type, open type, silent type, trailer type, portable type and container type, etc. Electric generator is mainly composed of diesel engine & alternator. Electric generator set is mainly composed of engine, alternator, control module, and common base. Electric generator :- Electric generator is a type of machine which converts mechanical input (energy) into electrical output (

Engine Fault Code Messages - Volvo Penta Engine

Volvo Penta Engine Fault Code When a malfunction has occurred and the diagnostic system has generated one or more fault codes, these are read out differently depending on the equipment used. Please refer to “Fault code messages”. If the system indicates that a fault code has been set: 1 Cut engine speed to idle, or shut the Volvo engine off. 2 For DCU/DU Read the fault code from the display, please refer to Reading fault codes via the DCU or Reading fault codes via the DU. For CIU press the diagnostic button and read the fault code, by observing the flashing of the diagnostic lamp. Refer to Reading fault codes via the diagnostic lamp, CIU. 3 Look up the fault code in the Fault Code Register chapter and take the recommended measures. Reading fault codes via the DU (Display Unit) Depending on the severity of the fault the text, either WARNING! or ALARM STOP (a buzzer sounds) will be shown on the display 1 Press any button to come to the fault list. Types of Diesel Engine and Application of Diesel Generator

This article will guide you to learn diesel engine types and important role of diesel generator. If you are interested, please keep reading.  What Are Diesel Engines? A type of internal combustion engine more accurately known as a compression ignition engine is designed to provide power by compressing the fuel at high temperature and significant pressure until it ignites. Diesel engines are either two-stroke or four-stroke .   ‘Stroke’ means the movement of the piston in the engine. Two-stroke This engine uses one stroke in each direction.   The first stroke being compression, which results in the ignition of the compressed fuel.   The return stroke brings new fuel into the cylinder. Four-stroke This engine has one compression stroke and one exhaust stroke and each one of those has a return stroke – hence, four-stroke. The compression stroke compresses the fuel/air mixture prior to ignition.   The exhaust stroke pushes the burnt gases out the exhaust. The
