Debugging of VE Distribution Pump for Diesel Generator 2

In this article, we will continue to introduce the debugging of the VE distribution pump for diesel generators.

3. Adjustment of return oil quantity: Check whether the return oil quantity reaches the specified value at the specified speed. The return oil volume and the pressure of the pressure regulating valve in the VE pump of the diesel generator have a mutual influence, and both need to be checked repeatedly.

4. Adjustment of full load oil quantity: Set the speed of the diesel generator VE pump to 1900r/min, and under the condition of LDA device inlet pressure of 0.1MPa, tighten the control handle against the high-speed limit screw to check whether the oil supply of the VE pump meets the requirements. Otherwise, adjust the maximum oil supply by adjusting the screw. The oil supply by screwing in the screw increases, while the oil supply by screwing out the screw decreases. At the same time, check whether the difference in fuel supply between each cylinder meets the requirements. In addition, it is necessary to check the full load oil level at other specified speeds. It should be noted that the fuel supply of the fuel injection pump and its internal chamber pressure affect each other. After adjusting the fuel supply of the fuel injection pump, it is necessary to recheck whether the internal chamber pressure exceeds the specified value.

5. Starting oil quantity: Adjust the speed of the diesel generator VE pump to 100r/min, check the oil supply of the VE pump, and it should meet the requirements.

6. Functional inspection of the oil stop device: Rotate the stop handle towards the direction of oil cut-off at the specified speed, and the oil supply of the VE pump should be less than the specified value. When cutting off the solenoid valve circuit at the specified speed, the oil supply of the VE pump should be less than the specified value.

7. Debugging of the automatic fuel injection advance angle regulator stroke: Remove the regulator cover and install the regulator detection device. Adjust the VE pump speed of the diesel generator to 1150r/min, and under the condition of an LDA device inlet pressure of 0.1MPa, the regulator stroke should be 1.6-2.0mm. If it does not meet the specified value, the thickness of the adjusting gasket of the regulator can be adjusted or the regulator spring can be replaced.

8. Adjustment of the starting point of LDA device operation: Tighten the control handle against the high-speed limit screw, adjust the VE pump speed to the specified value, guide compressed air with different pressure values into the LDA device, and check if it starts to work under the specified compressed air pressure. Otherwise, adjust the gear by turning the adjustment gear.

9. Adjustment of high-speed limit screw: Tighten the handle against the high-speed limit screw, adjust the high-speed limit screw to a starting speed 20-30r/min higher than the rated speed, and check if the parking speed meets the requirements.

10. Adjustment of idle limit screw: Tighten the control handle against the idle limit screw, adjust the VE pump speed to idle, adjust the idle limit screw to achieve the specified idle oil supply of the oil pump, and check that the oil supply of each cylinder is within the specified range. At the same time, check whether the idle stop oil speed meets the requirements.

What Is the Difference Between Electric Motor and Electric Generator

An electric motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and winding currents to generate force. In certain applications, such as in regenerative braking with traction motors, electric motors can be used in reverse as generators to recover energy that might otherwise be lost as heat and friction. An electric generator operates in the reverse direction, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Electric generator can be divided into various type, open type, silent type, trailer type, portable type and container type, etc. Electric generator is mainly composed of diesel engine & alternator. Electric generator set is mainly composed of engine, alternator, control module, and common base. Electric generator :- Electric generator is a type of machine which converts mechanical input (energy) into electrical output (

Engine Fault Code Messages - Volvo Penta Engine

Volvo Penta Engine Fault Code When a malfunction has occurred and the diagnostic system has generated one or more fault codes, these are read out differently depending on the equipment used. Please refer to “Fault code messages”. If the system indicates that a fault code has been set: 1 Cut engine speed to idle, or shut the Volvo engine off. 2 For DCU/DU Read the fault code from the display, please refer to Reading fault codes via the DCU or Reading fault codes via the DU. For CIU press the diagnostic button and read the fault code, by observing the flashing of the diagnostic lamp. Refer to Reading fault codes via the diagnostic lamp, CIU. 3 Look up the fault code in the Fault Code Register chapter and take the recommended measures. Reading fault codes via the DU (Display Unit) Depending on the severity of the fault the text, either WARNING! or ALARM STOP (a buzzer sounds) will be shown on the display 1 Press any button to come to the fault list. Types of Diesel Engine and Application of Diesel Generator

This article will guide you to learn diesel engine types and important role of diesel generator. If you are interested, please keep reading.  What Are Diesel Engines? A type of internal combustion engine more accurately known as a compression ignition engine is designed to provide power by compressing the fuel at high temperature and significant pressure until it ignites. Diesel engines are either two-stroke or four-stroke .   ‘Stroke’ means the movement of the piston in the engine. Two-stroke This engine uses one stroke in each direction.   The first stroke being compression, which results in the ignition of the compressed fuel.   The return stroke brings new fuel into the cylinder. Four-stroke This engine has one compression stroke and one exhaust stroke and each one of those has a return stroke – hence, four-stroke. The compression stroke compresses the fuel/air mixture prior to ignition.   The exhaust stroke pushes the burnt gases out the exhaust. The
