There are many aspects that need to be paid attention to during the maintenance of Cummins diesel generator sets, such as the maintenance of the cylinder block. One aspect of this is the installation of the cylinder liner seal on the cylinder block, which must maintain a qualified flatness. If the seal surface is uneven, the cooling water from the cylinder block will flow out of the cylinder body from the seal.

1. The main bearing of the Cummins diesel generator set experiences burning of the main bearing, causing deformation of the main bearing seat and even cracking of the bearing seat. The deformation of the main bearing seat can be sent to a professional repair company for repair and restoration, while the cylinder body with cracked bearing seat can be scrapped.


2. For the cylinder block of high-power diesel engines, when installing the change screws on both sides, it is necessary to carefully check whether their length is correct. Otherwise, excessively long screws can easily collide with the balance weight of the crankshaft and damage the cylinder block and crankshaft.


3. During the overhaul of Cummins diesel generator sets, it is necessary to pay attention to cleaning the oil passages in the cylinder block and maintaining the cleanliness of the oil passages.


For the piston cooling nozzle installed inside the cylinder body of the Cummins diesel generator set, it is recommended to disassemble it before installing or disassembling the piston and connecting rod components to prevent them from breaking the piston cooling nozzle. After the installation of the piston and connecting rod components is completed, cool and spray the piston for installation.
