During the maintenance of the diesel generator, it was found that there was oil leakage at the top shaft oil pipe joint, and the bearing shells were slightly crushed and peeled, but the damage was not serious. The top shaft oil pipe joint is located on the lower side of the lower tile and is a hose, with a relatively narrow installation space and difficult to operate. This requires special attention to avoid loose connections and potential complications. The temperature probe of the bearing pad has fallen off, and some bearing pads directly monitor the temperature of the bearing pad's black gold layer. The thermal resistor is directly inserted into a hole 2-3 mm away from the bottom of the black gold layer of the bearing pad, and the probe is supported by a bolt pressing spring.
If the bolts are not tightened during installation and become loose during operation, the probe will gradually exit the installation hole and lose its function of monitoring the temperature of the bearing shell. A certain unit tripped due to excessive vibration during operation, and the temperature record of the bearing bush was normal. After opening the bearing, it was found that the black gold of the bearing bush had broken, and there was direct friction between the journal and the metal of the bearing bush, causing the temperature probe to detach. Insulation issue: During the operation of a certain generator, it tripped due to high bearing vibration, and at the same time, the bearing bush emitted smoke.
After uncovering the bearing shells, it was found that all the lower shells were burnt out in a black powder form, some of which had exposed the bearing tire, and some of the upper shells were burnt out, with wear grooves on the shaft neck. The insulation resistance between the bearing shell and the bearing box is measured to be close to zero, and there is dust and oil dirt between the insulation gasket of the bearing shell, which is caused by not cleaning it thoroughly during installation. During the installation process, it is necessary to maintain the cleanliness and dryness between the insulation boards and the exposed parts to ensure good insulation. Protective measures must be taken. After installation, a 1000V insulation resistance meter should be used to measure the insulation resistance, which should be ≥ 0.5M Ω.
