The Dongfeng Cummins B,C
and L diesel engine for power generator set ranges from 40 to 227kW with
displacement of 3.9 litres (60-140HP), 5.9 litres (160 -230HP) and 8.3 litres
(220 – 325HP), which can meet the European emission regulations for 1 to 2 vehicles
and the first stage emission standards for off-road motor equipment, the
Cummins B, C and L series 3.9 to 9 liter fully electronically controlled diesel
engines will be produced in the near future with a power range of 100-450 hp.
It can meet the emission standards of European No.3 and No.4, as well as the
emission standards of the second and third stages of non-highway motor
equipment in Europe and the United States, and finally realize the
synchronization with the European and American markets in terms of technology.

Dongfeng Cummins B/C/L
series diesel engine: the perfect combination of design and manufacture
1. As compacted yet
durable and dependable engine, our engine contains up to 25% fewer parts than
competitive engine, offer better power-to-weight ration, a less chance of
failure and lower repair cost.
2. Turbocharger and
after cooler technology increase power and improve fuel economy.
3. The engine delivers
lower emission and complete combustion by adopting high pressure fuel supply
system and air intake system.
4. The design of dual
Ni-resist pistons and greater main bearing area contribute directly to longer
engine life.
5. The life-to-overhaul
of 90% engines exceed 6000 hours, and life-to-overhaul of 50% engines exceed
10000 hours, which makes more profit to customer.
6. Satisfy customer’s
personal requirement, and make you share stars service.

POWER RATING APPLICATION
GUIDELINES FOR GENERATPOR DRIVE ENINGE
These guidelines have
been formulated to ensure proper application of generator drive engines in A.C.
generator set installations.
STANDBY POWER RATING is
applicable for supplying emergency power for the duration of the utility power
outage. No overload capability is available for this ration. Under no condition
is an engine is an engine allowed to operation with the public utility at the
Standby Power rating. This rating should be applied where reliable utility
power is available. A standby rated engine should be sized for a maximum of an
80% average load factor and 200 hours of operation per year. This included less
than 25 hours per year at the Standby Power rating. Standby rating should never
be applied except in true emergency power outages. Negotiated power outages
contracted with a utility company are not considered an emergency.
PRIME POWER RATING is a
applicable for supplying electric power in lieu of commercially purchased
power. Prime Power applications must be in the form of one of the following two
categories:
UNLIMITED TIME RUNNING
PRIME POWER: Prime Power is available for an unlimited number of hours per year
in a variable load application. Variable load should no exceed a 70% average of
the Prime Power rating during any operating period of 250 hours. The total
operating time at 100% Prime Power shall not exceed 500 hours per year. A 10%
overload capability is available for a period of 1 hour within a 12 hours
period of operation. Total operation time at the 10% overload power shall not
exceed 25 hours per year.
LIMITED TIME RUNNING
PRIME POWER: Prime Power is available for a limited number of hours in a
non-variable load application. It is intended for use in situations where power
outages are contracted, such as in utility power curtailment. Engines may be
operated in parallel to the public utility up to 700 hours per year at power
levels to exceed the Prime Power rating.
