What Is the Safety Strategic of Diesel Generator Set

1. Strict temperature requirements

The number on the diesel generator represents its frost resistance. It is generally required to use diesel of -10 or even -30 in winter, and it is enough to use diesel No. 0 in summer. Cold filter points and condensation points are the two main indicators used to measure diesel antifreeze performance. Among them, the unit's condensation point refers to the lowest temperature at which diesel can maintain fluidity under low temperature conditions. This indicator will mainly affect the storage and transportation of diesel; the cold filter point means that diesel does not pass through the engine fuel supply system. The lowest temperature that will cause the filter to clog, and the fuel supply index of the diesel engine will be directly affected by it.

2. Strategy to ensure unit startup temperature

The temperature of the diesel oil should not be lower than 4 ° C. In other words, it is necessary to ensure that the ambient temperature of the diesel generator set in the standby state cannot be lower than 4 ° C. Only in this way can the diesel generator set start normally. This requires that when the diesel generator set is in standby state, if the ambient temperature is lower than 4 °C, the surrounding air needs to be heated and insulated.

3. Ensure the maintenance and maintenance of diesel generator battery

As a backup power source, diesel generator sets are not often used in daily situations. The maintenance and maintenance of batteries is a key determinant of the timely start-up of diesel generator sets. The staff should take a series of improvement measures for the maintenance and maintenance of the battery of the diesel generator set. First, the electrolyte and current of the battery should be checked regularly on time. If the electrolyte is found to be missing, the electrolyte should be replenished in time. When the current is found to be insufficient. The battery should be replaced immediately; secondly, the voltage of the battery should be charged in time. This step can be realized by using a full smart charger. When the voltage of the battery is lower than 24V, the battery is charged in time to replenish the battery to the required value. This ensures that the voltage of the battery meets the voltage requirement of 24V at any time, thus providing a safe precondition for the diesel generator set to be reliably started and operated.

We should continue to improve the detection and maintenance mechanism of diesel generator sets through research, and constantly improve the safety and stability of the equipment to ensure the safe operation of diesel generator sets.

Which parts and precautions should be tested while the diesel engine is running
In order to ensure the normal operation of the diesel generator set and extend the service life of the unit, the precautions for the operation of the diesel engine are as follows:

1. Never allow the diesel engine to run at full speed before the diesel engine is fully warmed up.
2. Do not disconnect the battery or electrode terminals or cables
3. During operation, if the battery indicator flashes suddenly, stop immediately and eliminate the malfunction of the electrical system.
4. If the exhaust color, sound, and odor are abnormal, stop the machine immediately.
5. Running detection

Oil pressure: (90 ~ 300) kPa [(0 9 ~ 3.O) kg / cm2]
(300-650) kPa [(3.0-6 5) kg/cm2 at full load]
Cooling water temperature: Under normal working conditions, the cooling water temperature should be about 80° C to 95° C.

6. Diesel engine operation in winter, pay special attention to cooling water freezing and oil viscosity.
7. Antifreeze is recommended. When antifreeze is not used, all cooling water should be drained after the diesel engine is running.

8. As a result of excessive cooling, thermal efficiency is reduced and fuel consumption is increased. If the cooling water temperature does not reach normal conditions (80-95 ° C) after continuous operation, check the thermostat and other cooling lines.

9. Inspection of diesel engine after long-term operation

In order to ensure that the diesel engine is always operating under good economic conditions, a thorough inspection and adjustment of the diesel engine should be carried out every year (preferred spring). Parts that affect performance should be checked and adjusted:

Intake and exhaust components: air filter, buffer, supercharger, etc.
Lubrication and cooling components: oil cooler, oil filter, antifreeze, etc.
Gas distribution and fuel components: valve clearance, diesel filter, etc.

After the diesel engine is running at full load, before stopping, the diesel engine's speed controller should be switched to idle speed and run for about 5 minutes, so that the diesel engine can be gradually and evenly cooled down, and the cooling water can be stopped after the temperature drops to 60 °C.

What Is the Difference Between Electric Motor and Electric Generator

An electric motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and winding currents to generate force. In certain applications, such as in regenerative braking with traction motors, electric motors can be used in reverse as generators to recover energy that might otherwise be lost as heat and friction. An electric generator operates in the reverse direction, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Electric generator can be divided into various type, open type, silent type, trailer type, portable type and container type, etc. Electric generator is mainly composed of diesel engine & alternator. Electric generator set is mainly composed of engine, alternator, control module, and common base. Electric generator :- Electric generator is a type of machine which converts mechanical input (energy) into electrical output (

Engine Fault Code Messages - Volvo Penta Engine

Volvo Penta Engine Fault Code When a malfunction has occurred and the diagnostic system has generated one or more fault codes, these are read out differently depending on the equipment used. Please refer to “Fault code messages”. If the system indicates that a fault code has been set: 1 Cut engine speed to idle, or shut the Volvo engine off. 2 For DCU/DU Read the fault code from the display, please refer to Reading fault codes via the DCU or Reading fault codes via the DU. For CIU press the diagnostic button and read the fault code, by observing the flashing of the diagnostic lamp. Refer to Reading fault codes via the diagnostic lamp, CIU. 3 Look up the fault code in the Fault Code Register chapter and take the recommended measures. Reading fault codes via the DU (Display Unit) Depending on the severity of the fault the text, either WARNING! or ALARM STOP (a buzzer sounds) will be shown on the display 1 Press any button to come to the fault list. Types of Diesel Engine and Application of Diesel Generator

This article will guide you to learn diesel engine types and important role of diesel generator. If you are interested, please keep reading.  What Are Diesel Engines? A type of internal combustion engine more accurately known as a compression ignition engine is designed to provide power by compressing the fuel at high temperature and significant pressure until it ignites. Diesel engines are either two-stroke or four-stroke .   ‘Stroke’ means the movement of the piston in the engine. Two-stroke This engine uses one stroke in each direction.   The first stroke being compression, which results in the ignition of the compressed fuel.   The return stroke brings new fuel into the cylinder. Four-stroke This engine has one compression stroke and one exhaust stroke and each one of those has a return stroke – hence, four-stroke. The compression stroke compresses the fuel/air mixture prior to ignition.   The exhaust stroke pushes the burnt gases out the exhaust. The
