According to statistics released by Dongfeng, over 110,000 units Dongfeng vehicles, ranging from heavy-duty truck, medium trucks, light trucks, mini-trucks to special vehicles, are working smoothly in African continent.

According to Dongfeng Xiangyang Touring Car Co., Ltd., the company is racing against the clock to produce new city buses and chassis for its customer in Egypt.

As early as 2006, the company exported its first batch of buses to Egypt. Later, it set up cooperative ties with a local company and thus significantly increased its export volume to the country through CKD. So far, over 3,000 units Dongfeng buses have made their way to Egypt.

In addition, Dongfeng (Shiyan) Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. has exported a fairly large number of trucks for transporting water and garbage to Africa.

In 2014, Dongfeng Liuqi delivered 103 units Chenglong self-dumping trucks to its customer in Ethiopia.

Since the launch of Belt Road Initiative five years ago, Dongfeng has been gaining fast rising popularity in Africa. By strengthening marketing efforts and deepening its cooperation with African counterparts, Dongfeng Xiaokang boasts a sales volume of over 100,000 units mini-trucks in Algeria.

Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. has also rolled out more customized truck products to suit African customers’ special needs and requirements.

In addition, the sales volume of Dongfeng medium and heavy-duty trucks in Africa has reached over 2,500 units, which have successfully made their way to a number of countries, including Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Congo, Cameron, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, etc.

Recently, a batch of Dongfeng KR medium trucks made by Dongfeng were officially delivered to their customer in Yuanjiang, Hunan province.

New Generation Dongfeng KR Medium Trucks Officially Delivered to Customers

Equipped with KNORR technology, the new generation Dongfeng KR truck, even fully loaded with a weight of 18 tons, can come to a standstill from a speed of 60 km/h in 27 meters. In addition, its lane deviation alarming system, front collision alarming system, tire pressure monitoring system and camera with panoramic views have all greatly boosted its overall safety standards.

Also worth mentioning is that Dongfeng KR truck has successfully lowered its wind drag to 0.498 and can further improve its fuel economy by 4%. For every 100 km, the truck only consumes 15 liters of fuel and thus greatly helps its operators cut operating costs.

According to customer’s special requirements, the truck can be either equipped with Dongfeng Fengshen series or Dongfeng Cummins series engines. It can reach a maximum speed of 110km/h.

More driver-friendly exterior & interior design is another highlight of Dongfeng KR truck. Such travel amenities as shock absorbing seats and constant speed cruising fully meet customers’ rising demands for medium trucks.

Dongfeng engines are also used in power generation and other engineering machinery.

What Is the Difference Between Electric Motor and Electric Generator

An electric motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and winding currents to generate force. In certain applications, such as in regenerative braking with traction motors, electric motors can be used in reverse as generators to recover energy that might otherwise be lost as heat and friction. An electric generator operates in the reverse direction, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Electric generator can be divided into various type, open type, silent type, trailer type, portable type and container type, etc. Electric generator is mainly composed of diesel engine & alternator. Electric generator set is mainly composed of engine, alternator, control module, and common base. Electric generator :- Electric generator is a type of machine which converts mechanical input (energy) into electrical output (

Engine Fault Code Messages - Volvo Penta Engine

Volvo Penta Engine Fault Code When a malfunction has occurred and the diagnostic system has generated one or more fault codes, these are read out differently depending on the equipment used. Please refer to “Fault code messages”. If the system indicates that a fault code has been set: 1 Cut engine speed to idle, or shut the Volvo engine off. 2 For DCU/DU Read the fault code from the display, please refer to Reading fault codes via the DCU or Reading fault codes via the DU. For CIU press the diagnostic button and read the fault code, by observing the flashing of the diagnostic lamp. Refer to Reading fault codes via the diagnostic lamp, CIU. 3 Look up the fault code in the Fault Code Register chapter and take the recommended measures. Reading fault codes via the DU (Display Unit) Depending on the severity of the fault the text, either WARNING! or ALARM STOP (a buzzer sounds) will be shown on the display 1 Press any button to come to the fault list. Types of Diesel Engine and Application of Diesel Generator

This article will guide you to learn diesel engine types and important role of diesel generator. If you are interested, please keep reading.  What Are Diesel Engines? A type of internal combustion engine more accurately known as a compression ignition engine is designed to provide power by compressing the fuel at high temperature and significant pressure until it ignites. Diesel engines are either two-stroke or four-stroke .   ‘Stroke’ means the movement of the piston in the engine. Two-stroke This engine uses one stroke in each direction.   The first stroke being compression, which results in the ignition of the compressed fuel.   The return stroke brings new fuel into the cylinder. Four-stroke This engine has one compression stroke and one exhaust stroke and each one of those has a return stroke – hence, four-stroke. The compression stroke compresses the fuel/air mixture prior to ignition.   The exhaust stroke pushes the burnt gases out the exhaust. The
